Michael Cera heads the role of Nick Twisp, a very non optimistic sex hungry young man who fell in love with a girl whose name was Sheeni Saunders (which is Portia Doubleday). He fell in love with Sheeni at his home town (a Trailer Park) where he stays with his single mom played by Jean Smart and her jackass boyfriend (Zach Galifianakis). Sheeni is a sophisticated person and was very in depth with foreign films and the legendary Frank Sinatra, she even wants to live in France in the future. But her plans are against the plans of her super sensitive christian oriented parents. As Twisp wanted to impress Sheeni (which actually has a boyfriend) he dreamed up Francois, an imaginary alter ego of himself - A mean bad boy as some might say. Within the film, the badboy Francois teaches Nich on how to get on Sheeni’s pants.

In the pursuit of love…errr… sex, Nick does some appropriate things, played by any other actor, you might even consider as a sociopath. But with the talent and traits of Michael Cera, it ended that indeed Francois makes Nick feel more like a waste than a person with hopeful gestures. With a fresh face, Sheeni played by double day keeps the main role very heartless and manipulative, without these two stars, the film wont work. I guarantee it.
